Surround sound headphones

Hi

I am awaiting delivery of my new sooper-dooper PC to play Skyrim.

It is better than my old PC by a massive mile.

I am not upgrading my speakers though. I work and live in a students residential building where I cannot make too much noise. It is my job to tell the students to turn there music down, so I cannot really have speakers blaring myself.

So I play with headphones. I would like to get a new set of headphones for surround sound.

Can anyone advise me on surround sound headphones?

Are they any good?

Do they work well in Skyrim?

What's the difference between 5.1 and 7.1 headphones?

How much for a good set (in the UK)?

WHat does the sound card need to plug them in? Is it USB?

Thanks for any advice.

I have turtle beach x-11's I think. They were about 60 odd quid and fantastic. As long ad your sound card outputs 5.1 etc you're golden.

There are issues with surround sound for skyrim though, not sure if they've been fixed.

Edit: they have an aux lead for sound and one for the microphone, which plug into your sound card. And also a USB lead for power.
