O.k I don't know if this has happened to anyone else. But I was doing jobs for the Companion members. Vikas says he wants to go kill a dragron. So I'm like lets do this! So we go to the spot, the only problem is I've already been there, apparrently on another quest and killed the dragon already... So since I've gone on to other things, I can't reload the previous save. I've tried sending him home, killing him....which by the way I actually leveled up skills trying to kill him. But none the less its getting ridiculas something got to give, I can't take him following me around everywhere. Any ideas anyone?

Wait for teh dragon to respawn maybe?

Nope, together we've killed a couple of dragons. Random dragons won't count towards the quest. The one at the spot we are asked to go to will not respawn. I forwarded time and everything, its not coming back.

Where does the quest marker direct you to?

The same happened to me after I married him. I just told him to wait there and ran away. He eventually returned home but I have not been back to check if he still follows me around. You could always try FUS RO DAH ing him and then leg it?

did you try getting another follower? maybe the glitch can work in your favor getting 2 followers...

If you cant send him home then make him "wait here" in a secluded spot and forget about him

I can't remember right now. But I know I was there before because theres a word of power all right there as well and I've already learned the shout that was there. The quest marker is also suspended hight in the air. Its really odd.

I'm entirely sure that this will get rid of him, but you could try advancing/completing the quest using the console.
