Reorganizing the engine

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 3:20 am

I'm playing Hunted Demon's forge on low end computer with single core CPU and this game doesn't have CTD's and VRAM issues. Maybe is there a way to reorganize Sykrim's engine in similar way so that will have the same VRAM managment, texture drawing nd threading for CPU so this stuttering and crashing issue will be gone.

Please, programming team make Sykrim engine as Hunted Demon's forge.
Thx

Hunted is by far a more linear and controlled game than an open world, freeform game like Skyrim and thus the engines have distinctly different needs and performance.

Is it possible to redone graphic panel in Launcher so that adds more configuraction options:

-> CPU threading : single core or dual core (single core threading options like in Morrowind)
-> texture optimization to reduce VRAM and simple textures like in Morrowind

They have a month for engine optimization for Dawnguard on PC. Hopefully they do that.

I am 99.9999 % sure here won't be such optimization. As far as textures go, that's what modding is for.

Minesweeper runs great on older machines as well. Maybe they should rewrite the engine to be more like Minesweeper?
