As the title says...

... I just did a re-install of Skyrim and the functions of the Esc key aren't working at all. I mean, I hit the escape key and nothing happens.

I guess it's possible that I may have changed it in the Controls section by accident, but I sure don't think I did that.

Is there a file I can change or delete to get this working again? I did a re-install that basically checked the installation and replaced any modified files, and then I did deleted local content from inside the Steam interface and installed again, and it still isn't working.

Is there a file I can delete? Or modify? That will get my Esc key working again? Or any other solution?

Did you test it to make sure it was working outside of Skyrim? Your keyboard key may have malfunctioned.

I bet you remapped the Esc function in the controls menu. I did the same thing last night. I think you can get into the options menu by pressing your journal key, then click the tabs on the top.
