Darkbrother hood sanctuary issues help

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 2:43 pm

After updating from 1.4.21 to 1.5.26, the game gets way buggier, and i m not talking about incompatible mods.

I noticed that everytime i enter the DB sanctuary, i get missing walls/meshes. They only go away if i reload OUTSIDE the interior.

Then..........

Upon receiving the quest to gut Cicero, you can choose either to kill or not to kill him.
I did not kill him, and when i return to the DB sanctuary, it CTD.
Removed all mods, all texture packs, even let skyrim make a new ini file(s). Still CTD
Then i reloaded an earlier save and killed cicero. Went back, still CTD.

This issue was stated to be resolved in 1.4 patch. 1.4 patch was the most stable. But 1.5.26 brings back crashes to desktop again. This is prolly the buggiest patch of all. I get CTDS every now and then as of this patch. Has anyone else gotten ctds when entering the DB sanctuary?

I worked out a solution where i use placeatme command to get the npcs. But!
I am now stuck at the quest where i have to save people from the DB sanctuary. BUT i cant enter :(

I'm having all of these exact same issues. It's really frustrating. I'm also getting CTDs just walking around places...

Well, I happened to notice this thread, and I stepped in just to say, that your issues seem weird. They sound precisely like the ones I used to have at one time, and which made the game totally unplayable, when the save size exceeded 17 MB. But those issues were eventually fixed by a game patch, and currently my saves are around 14.5 MB. (I have practically completed all but the companions quest lines.) Currently I have absolutely no stability issues, and I am only using USKP and SkyUI (with SKSE of course).

I don't have any solution, and my only suggestion to you is, that perhaps you should present your setup DXDiags, your mod lists, and your ini settings, so that more knowledgeable people might be able to respond.

I wouldn't be surprised, if some mod is ultimately behind your problems. My totally wild guess is, that perhaps some mod script might misuse game resources or cause bad bloat or memory issues or whatever.

after i reinstall skyrim, rolled a new character with the same mods put in, made new ini files, i never had a CTD and i am on my new character's 500th save.
So i think previously i had too much crap loaded in my skyrim file. Because after reinstalling skyrim i noticed i gain about 1gb of space. Might be a conflicting script i didnt know, but now my game is CTD free and i am happy

But if i add WATER, i get some random ctds=.=
