Ok here is my problem, im going to keep it short.

I cant start a new game without it hard crashing, something with the Helgen sequence that my computer does not like.

Can someone make a save where once you are in the cave and you are in control of your character? Also, go with the stormcloak guy, not the imperial.

Just make a save once you are in the cave. And then from there if u could put the save in a dropbox or something where i could download it, it would mean soo much to me.

You have the high res textures downloaded and only windows 32bit.

You have bad driver/direct x problem.

The opening sequence hasn't worked for me since 1.3, yet Skyrim is the only game that has any problems, so it's certainly not drivers. If anybody cares to attempt to diagnose mine, here's my DxDiag:

It mybe won't take you long to show us your dxdiag. We can see your problem but we don't know what is your pc. Do what lokee done. All you have to do if you have W7, (I don't know you maybe have w98.) press start (bottom left hand corner of your monitor) - in the box at the bottom type 'run' without the quotes you find run on the top. Press on that, and type in the box/drop-down 'dxdiag' without the quotes- a pop-up appears and press save all information. Save it, open it copy and paste on this post.

That's not how you do it.

In the search bar (or the Run menu if you turned that on in the Start Menu options), just type dxdiag and press enter. Click save all. Open resulting file. Post contents in spoiler tag.

And that's how it's done for most versions of Windows.

The most possible reason for you problem are changes in game configuration file (SkyrimPrefs.ini), even corrupted file can cause this, just running out of system memory (including swap). Or mods installed / dlc texture pack. Scripting mods also could be the problem (conflicts mostly). Very rare some buggy version of drivers (seen such very long time ago, so ignore this). Remove SkyrimPrefs.ini file (backup previous, then remove it and run skyrimlauncher.exe) if don't have big texture mods installed. Good luck!

You have a lot to learn. A crash of this nature can occur for many reasons. One reason being that one is pushing their computer too hard. A dxdiag will tell us if they are, for the most part.

Ok here is my problem, im going to keep it short.

I cant start a new game without it hard crashing, something with the Helgen sequence that my computer does not like.

Can someone make a save where once you are in the cave and you are in control of your character? Also, go with the stormcloak guy, not the imperial.

Just make a save once you are in the cave. And then from there if u could put the save in a dropbox or something where i could download it, it would mean soo much to me.

I don't see the big deal here. Sure, I will be happy to make you a save. Just pm me with just the race and six you want then you can change the rest with showracemenu. If you still have trouble running it, then at least you will know it is a pc problem and not something corrupted in your game.

Sometimes ddiag can offer clues on why your computer might be having problems with the game or in general thats why on antivirus forums they ask for it also because there might be somthin on your system your not aware of.

just a few general questions...

have you tried starting the game with no mods? or HD packs etc...?

have you tried deleting the skyrim.ini from your game saves? and then starting with just "Med/High" settings with all the extra's off?

have you the latest skyrim steam update?

have you the latest graphics drivers and dx drivers?

why are you only on SP1? isnt Win7 on SP2 now?

Some of what you get:

1) System conflicts
2) Driver versions, which could be an issue at times
3) Full hardware information

Weak hardware can have issues. And, generally, if one is pushing their weak hardware too far they will have issues.

Honestly, it's like overdoing it with work for some people. One gets burned if they push themselves too hard with work sometimes. The exact same is true with machines. They can only take so much. There is a point where certain components are not powerful to perform at the same level they can with less stuff to process.

Knowing one's full hardware, and other system information, is part of troubleshooting simply because it could shed some light on things and a dxdiag report is beneficial as it logs a lot of the information that can be used to help track down said issue.
