So last week I picked up Skyrim again, since I had an itch for it/loved the news about Dawnguard - this was the first time I picked it up since I dropped over 100 hours after it was released. I have installed a few mods, but nothing that drastic, mostly visual stuff; bird flocks, lighting changes, and the ability to ride the carts and not just get teleported. But with the mods on or off I experienced some bugs that actually nearly broke one quest for me, but completely broke another.

The first bug I got was in Markarth, after you help try to find out about the Forsworn attacks and get thrown in jail. You know the bit where the female guard is suppose to open the door to let you in with the "other convicts"? Well, she didn't say anything. I tried reloading, restarting, turning off mods, the works - nothing seemed to help and she just stood there unflinching. To get around that I had to use the command that gives no collision so I could walk through the bars and make the rest of the quest proceed as normal. (Thought he female guard never moved from by the door)

Second one baffles me since, when I was initially going to try it earlier, I changed my mind on when and with whom, I am talking about the Marriage feature. When I tried it at first, it worked and with through just fine. I married a spouse, moved in her home, and that was that. I then decided I wanted to marry someone else for that run and reloaded a previous save and continued to play as normal. Well I got to the point where I got the spouse as a companion and am set to marry her, but there is a problem. I can get her to the temple just fine and everyone shows up for the ceremony, the problem is what happens during it. After Maramal greets me and does his little speech, he first asks the bride if she accepts, which she does. But then that's it....he stops at that point and it goes back to giving me control of my character. Talking to him yields the "this character is busy" reaction, and even if I wait for 24 hours, nobody moves, and the wedding is still in progress with me being stuck and unable to complete it. I can leave and cancel the wedding, attack Maramal for being a [censored], and all that but that's it, I can't get hitched. I tried the same thing as I did with the other bug; reloading, restarting, disabling mods, but didn't do the no collision thing, since yea, that wouldn't help.

The first one is done and gone, so I am not too worried, but still wondering why I got that one. As for the second one, that is a bit more of a pain, the bug isn't with just the one girl either, I tried random other potential spouses and that all yielded the same results, so right now it seems like my guy is a forever bachelor. Anyone knows what caused this or how I could fix it? Thanks.
