Whenever I open skyrim and move the mouse to the top left of the screen, the desktop mouse shows. then when i click, the game minimises to desktop. This is very irritating if you are in the middle of a battle and it closes. I've reinstalled the game multiple times and updated to version 1.5. I will update to version 1.6 next month when I have more bandwidth. But this problem didn't start immediately after updating to 1.5 but rather around 2 - 3 weeks after installing it. I have no mods currently installed. After reinstalling the game the problem is fixed, but soon starts again. Can anybody help? if you need more info, let me know.

Oh, and this doesn't happen in any other game I play, such as Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, etc.

It's background processes, not the game, I believe.

Right click on TESV.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility (I think) -> Disable Visual Themes (or something like that) and see if that helps.
