perking mah thief

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 5:48 am

so I played a theif to level 53. perked smithing, enchant, archery, sneak (duh) some alchemy.

I played a mage but got bored.

so I made a new thief!

I want to use illusion magic this time.

what perks are worth it with illusion?

what perks did you give your thieves?

anyone EVER perk lockpicking (I saw no reason)

anyone perk pickpocket?

Don't put perks into lockpicking, please. It's such a complete waste.

I can't give you advice on Illusion, I haven't trained that school yet.

yea, no matter what people said I was never going to perk lockpicks. just wondered why.

after so MUCH good advice (smirk) I decided to perk illusion. it is just too damn expenseive to cast a spell as a non mage who does not have tons of magicka. grr.

As an alternative, you could just use fortify illusion enchantments. I can cast any destruction spell I want with zero cost because of that.

You will want the dual cast perk, or your spells will tend to fall behind what you are fighting. After that go for silent casting.

Sit in the shadows, and frenzy a group, let them kill each other off, than pick off the winner. Or if you perfer, calm them and sneak around them.

Pretty much everything in the tree is good (if you are enchanting your gear, don't need the 50% reduction ones).
