well If I were playing skyrim atm I would be able to tell you. But I think they would be the same because no one knows what happens when you fast-travel.

That's just my opinion.

I only fast-travel with a horse when i'm over-accumulated. (moving into a different home.)

I've found that actually walking is usually faster than fast-traveling between most points, if you don't get side-tracked, that is. I haven't tested it with a horse, though, since I find horses to generally be more trouble than they're worth, and usually just leave them behind (if they live that long... I've had a run of suicidal horses lately).

That's a very interesting question, I would've never even thought about it had I not read your post.

I would say that there is no discernible difference. At least not one that I've noticed.

Hmm, my question about fast travel and horses is: Is it even possible to F.T. without a horse once you own one; if so how? As example: I purchase horse from stable, decide to leave horse at stable, Bring up world map and click on destination for fast travel, when I arrive my horse that I was not mounted on prior to selecting F.T. is with me. Is this any way to run a stable ? :nope:

Nope. Getting a horse is a 'Till Death do you part'-thing.

You must have a slow loading screen

I bought a horse on my first play through. I thought it would make life easier. Nope!!! I was constantly trying to protect it as it ran in trying to kick everything in sight. It was shot with arrows, lit on fire a few times, and even kill-jacked a dragon after I worked my butt off fighting the thing. If you try to fast travle anywhere, the horse will spawn next to you as if it was invited. Horses are just flat out dumb and annoying. My best advice is to wait for shadowmare, sorry if that's spelled wrong, or just not ever getting one. The only positive I can see is your able to fast travle while over-encumbered. I don't know, that's just my two cents. Sorry its a bit off subject.

There's a mod that makes horses essential. It works really well and I no longer worry about the horse getting killed.

Ugh that reminds me/ I fast traveled near the stables one day, shortly after a dragon attacked Riften.
And ever since then, that dang horse has followed me wherever i fast travel.
Just about an hour ago i was fed up with it. I smacked the thing with my sworf and it ran off. I knew if it survived, i'd see it back within the next fast travel, so i had to run it down and smack it, what felt like a hundred times.

Ugh, sorry, this thread just reminded me of this..
But good news! I haven't seen the horse since! :celebration:

This could be really useful in timing our travels, I think.
You know like when you are over encumbered but you are on Horseback, at least we will know if that slows our Fast Travel down..
Or like you can Fast Travel faster on Horseback and Fast Travel slower walking with your horse..

LOL, that's not what I meant... I just meant, if you're trying to get somewhere before the shops close at 8pm, usually walking takes less in-game time. When that matters.

You mean literally sprinting on foot/on horseback?
