strange demon-face texture in Windhelm

I was browsing around the Dunmer lower district of Windhelm and my eye caught this pattern of snow on a wall. It looks like a demon face and is clearly intentional. Anyone know what this might be? Just a little personal touch from an artist at Bethesda, maybe?

It appears around the corners of the Atheron Residence exterior wall, near the New Gnisis Cornerclub and Sadri's Used Wares.

It's a rorschach test, I see a wolf expect the top of the head and ears are seperated and much higher up then they should be.

Just an easter egg, then? I'm hoping it has some meaning in the game :-/

Don't know if it's a gargoyle or just a blob of snow our minds try and make sense of. I passed through a cave twice with two different chars, whilst exciting Dwemer ruins, and could have sworn there was a gorilla on the wall.

tell me about it, I shot two massively expensive glass arrows into the side of a ravine at night, I could have sworn it was some Ice Troll chillin'

Yeah I see a goat, but honestly I think it is just where the texture repeats itself in mirror image making it look like a face.

You're all wrong. It clearly looks like a dragon.

Very clever mortals. You found http://primal.wikia.com/wiki/Scree while he was using his statue defense mechanism. That's no easy feat.

It looks like a flipped texture to me.

Many churches and old buildings have patterns on them on earth, maybe it's just one of those.

Yeah, more than likely just a tiled texture.

Pareidolia, as ZomZom and purehatred89 have said, and:
It looks like a flipped texture to me.

This. Its easy to see a face in a flipped symmetry texture. The human brain is the most powerful pattern recognition system on Earth, but it sometimes means we see things that aren't really there.
