I know, I could just use the console to give myself gold directly, but what I'd like to do is only semi-cheat by still having to scrounge, craft, and sell, but at least have shopkeepers have unlimited gold.

Or is there a mod for this? I have no idea how to find and implement mods so if there is, some guidance would be helpful.

i don't know about console commands, im on PS3. but there is a Speech glitch. Go to Riften and talk to the guy in the Black Briar meadery behind the counter (Uthergen?), and choose 'Tell me about Maven' and then keep choosing the 'Persuade' option.

You will get Speech skill to 100, and choose all the perks. This gives most vendors in Skyrim (except Innkeepers) +1000 gold to barter with. And another perk allows you to invest 500 gold in some stores. Another perk gives you 30% or 50% (forget which) discount when dealing with trader of opposite gender. Another perk allows you to buy/sell all items (eg potions to a blacksmith etc). Lastly, there is a good thing with Riverwood Trader. If you have Golden Claw in your quest journal (dont have to complete it) and then choose to invest 500 gold in the store, then he has 10,000+ gold coins for trading

Thieves guild fences have alot of money, and buy anything you sell them, without the need of investing perks on them, for example tonila will get a max of 4K gold., you still need to do the thieves guild quests tough.

There's a mod that allows for instant-restocking and unlimited gold for vendors. Also another that just increases the default amount to like 2k or something.

If you use the following command after clicking on the shopkeeper with the console up, it will give them gold.

additem f 10000

The f is for gold, 10000 is the amount of gold I chose here. Giving them more than 100,000 seems to break things when you sell stuff to them, though.

I appreciate the input on Speech perks but I don't really want to blow all those perk points either...

I guess I just want to cheat in my own special, limited, still-rp'able way...

lol why not sell ur stuff for norhing to them, and at gold to yourself trough the console?
u cant break anything this way.
