I rather seen new features then content

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 3:22 pm

I would pay gamesas 30-40 dollars for expansions that just added features. Like better AI, More stuff to do in existing land, More items, spell crafting, marry whoever (as someone else on the forums have said), maybe allow me to just live in city to city as a thief if I wanted to. Or alternatives then being dragon born. Maybe when i create a new game, if I bought the expansion it will ask if you during the character creation what lineage you wish to beyold.

Peasant
Noble
Dragon Born
Daedric Cursed
Vampire
Werewolf

Along with adding just tons more quests and clans/guilds.

I just don't care for more areas and land when it'll just be the same old crap; go in there and whack monsters. I guess I'm ready for new innovative features then the same old.

Todd did mention that the "DLC" this time around would focus more on changing the game for the better than anything else.

Then you'll have all these new features with no content to use these features with.

That... makes no sense. I have the entire world of skyrim to play all these new features with. Sadly I don't have the time to have played over 100 hours already and have seen every location there is in skyrim.

Also I've played since the day daggerfall came out, so no, skyrim is far from the only eldar scrolls i've played.

Also new features could be upgrading existing cities and making them bigger, adding more people; having the existing people offer more dialog. Maybe reinvent the whole speech craft through out the entire game.

I just want what we have already; but better. Cause this game is hardly an rpg; it's just go to town, get quest, go there kill, repeat. I can do that same thing in just about every other game on the market.

PS i love skyrim, so don't be calling me a hater. I just miss all the features that have been taken out since daggerfall-morrowind-oblivion. I would also like new features since this is well... elder scrolls 5.

New features require new content. The existing content doesn't know how to make use of the new features.

Ok, that's why it's an expansion. You can make big enough changes like new features which will effect existing land; it's happened a lot in other past games.

I mean obvious content and features is somewhat the same thing. I'm talking about I don't need new land, or a new island to travel too. I just want what's already created to be "improved"

Both can come together.

Want spears? Travel to a new island where the natives are facing danger from a long thought extinct breed of giant serpents, on hearing your defeat of Alduin they begged you help with their problem. The final reward unlocks the recipe to make skyforge spears and other types of spear if you have the perk.

Want horse combat? Maybe an old horse master teaches it to you after you help him gather materials for his horse armor. The final reward is a recipe to craft your own horse armor and lance.

Want arena? A vast underground colony of Falmar have been capturing slaves for ages and you have been capture and forced to fight daily for your life until you manage to engineer an escape with your fellow captives. Following your escape, some of the captives decided to create their own non-lethal arena as they had known no other way to survive since birth.

Want more spells? A rogue psijic mage appears to be secretly abused the eye of magus for his own purpose and managed to acquire the power to CREATE HIS OWN SPELL! He is now attempting to recreate the secret rituals, know only to Alduin, to resurrect dragons. Can you stop him and his mad plans? The final reward is a spell crafting altar.

I can see that applying to some features... but how would stuff like better AI or spell crafting require new content?

@OP
I don't care that much of some of your specific requests, but based on my 70 hours of Skyrim so far, I also feel like game is good at content but bad when it comes to the way you "interact" with the content.

I'd like to see some extra level 35-80 perks that are mostly unique and fun, like you get one SPECIAL perk, and its located arround level 60 into a perk tree, you can only have one of those perks on your character, but they make the thing you picked way more powerfull

Yes I want more ways to interact, and just more features in the existing world. I want them to focus their entire crew on just putting in stuff that was taken out from previous games.

Also I want an arena. And I want the original recreated dagger fall dungeon. With pitfalls, corridoors, and boobies. JK on boobies :D

Oh and cities expanded upon. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?app=forums&module=post§ion=post&do=reply_post&f=118&t=1310193&qpid=19714235
