I don't know about growing it but blue mtn flower and butterfly wing will restore health.Giant's toe and hanging moss will fortify health and juniper berries and nordic barnacle will regenerate health.

Run around the plains around Whiterun, pick up every single monarch butterfly and blue mountain flower you see. Then head to the swamps around Morthal and pick up all the swamp fungal pods there.

Blue Mountain Flower, Butterly Wings, Wheat are the 3 easiest to get. As said, run around the plains around whiterun and pick them. It's also good for furs, and filling petty sould gems.

But if you have stockpiled ingredients, these all have restore health:

Blisterwort
Blue Dartwing
Blue Mountain Flower
Butterfly Wing
Charred Skeever Hide
Daedra Heart
Eye of Sabre Cat
Imp Stool
Rock Warbler Egg
Swamp Fungal Pod
Wheat

Depending on your Alchemy skill level, a Blue Mountain Flower and an Eye of Sabre Cat makes a powerful restore health potion. At least those are the two ingredients I always use to whip up some health potions.

Hunt down some bandits or Forsworn Tribesman to fill up black soul gems or Azura's Star. Any human enemy you come across will work. Head to the nearest location where you know bandits are held up and go in there and start trapping some souls! I'm cleaning out some of the dungeons and caves near Markarth and I'm encountering alot of the Forsworn Tribe. So I just fill my black soul gems with their souls. I usually like to save the gem for any Necromancers I find but I haven't seen to many around lately and the Forsworn are equally sick and crazy so they do just fine!

If you don't know wheat and blisterwort makes a restore health potion.

But you can't beat a bought potion anyway, the ultimate range restore all of h/m/s, shame they didn't include the ability to craft the potions you can buy (in otherwords ones other people craft)
