After finishing the winterhold questline, i am 99% sure that the order is pure evil. They are hiding too much stuff, such as the eye of magnus, world breaker, soul stealer. I think they might be the main antagonist of the next elder scroll game/ They got plans with that eye, just u wait and see.

The Psjiic's are the CDC of Tamriel. Anything magical that threatens the order or the world in general is held in containment indefinately so that dangerous people cant get their hands on it.

As for them being evil no I just don't see anywhere they were evil actions in skyrim. Matter of fact there basically saved skyrim or as the very least Winterhold from a major castastrophe.

Plently see the CDC as evil, but I don't think the Psijics are, they at least claim to know what will happen, and even though they do confiscate the eye of magnus from the world they do say they're not ready yet, like they will give it back to the world when the time is right, it is needed and will be a benifit to them. They're more like a parent taking a dangerous toy or bleach out of a kids hands til they can handle it properly and not cause a disaster and minor case of death.

All through the entire game you get this feeling (if you play it the right way) that you're making some seriously powerful allies that have your back and they're definitely watching you.Of all the people you run across in this game they would be the ones I totally woulnd't be surprised to see intervening in some extremely dangerous and powerful situation and have the means to even know it's happening and to get there in time.Even paarthurnax makes a point of saying he's going to go out and teach the way of the word to other dragons.My hope with that is the devs and writers have already cooked something up awesome with that tidbit.It would definitely redeem them for some of the biggest WTF why'd they write it this way moments I've ever had in a game.

It was christmas morning I had slept well and it wasn't due to excited, was thinking of the FCC (or whatever thier called the ones that "control" TV). Although I don't I bet you could find a few hokerrs that would claim the cdc are evil for trying to control disease and peoples lives in the way they do, simalar to the extent that someone here is trying to say the psijics are evil for removing a "subtance" that will kill millions if left uncontroled and out to fight over.

The psijiic are so powerful that if they were evil you would know it for sure.
