I can deal with most anything..

Alright, I love my TES games. I can get around freezing, hiccups, glitches and whatnot. In my own opinion, there are a LOT of people working on the game and for all those people to be communicating and so on and so forth. It's a really BIG job, so I accept some issues.

I do have one wee issue that is bugging me. I won't give details so don't worry about spoilers.

I talk to a guy. He wants items A, B and C. No problem! I've already got items A and B and I've already been to location where item C is so I just zip off and get it. I go back and he won't accept that I have the items. I have to actually go to locations A and B to get their respective items there. Are you kidding me? They're right here.. in my hand.. take them, they're yours! Heck, don't even pay me! just take them, please!! Bugger.

So, this is the one and only thing in Skyrim that truly annoys me. Is this a bug? Do you think they'll fix this up?

Yeah, it's not a big deal for me to go and get the items from the locations. Of course, I have to because now items A and B are quest items and so I can't drop any of the 9 of them I have. :P

For future reference, you can just put the text in spoiler tags if you're afraid of spoiling stuff for anybody. That, and this forum is meant for spoilers as well.

Yeah, I find it annoying too. Like, in one quest, a Jarl asks you to take a particular item to a shrine. You cant just put it at the shrine in the city you fast travel to, no, you have to go to the shrine away out in the wilderness. Even although its the same statue and the same shrine!

I agree. As much as I like Bethesda and Skyrim. This is one of those things that makes me feel this was rushed out. There seems to be no thought through. What's worse is that it does work sometimes. If I already have the dragon stone when I talk to the give in Whiterun. I can just hand it over. Why isn't this applied to other quests? I have the item but can't give it to them and i can't even drop or store the item since quest items can't be dropped.

the only answer that I can think of is that the dragon stone is part of the Main Quest and not a secondary quest.
