Does muffle on the boots of a pure robed character help any?

All,

I am playing a pure mage, a Nord, and I more or less have max resists at this point so its either Carry Capacity or Muffle for my boots (in addition to Sneak 40%). However, I wonder, since I have no light armor at all and I only use robes and gloves and circlets etc, if there is any reason to put muffle on my slippers/boots? I have maxed out all of my stealth tree (not counting the backstab stuff, which I dont have) and my gloves and boots will both have 40% bonus to sneak. Will muffle add to that, or is there no sound to reduce on robes?

Thanks!

probably not. and even if it does help some minute amount, it will easilly become obsolete as your stealth skill progresses. i think it's a waste of an enchantment and really should only be used if you are trying to sneak around wearing some clunky heavy armor (for whatever reason)

go with carry weight if you don't have another enchant for foot wear.
