i was just awarded thane of winterhold for helping townsfolk but i dont see anywhere to purchase a house.. anyone know how?

There isn't one.There's other places you can't buy homes either, but winterhold has the archmages' quarters right there , so I guess they figured it fits with the wasted most of the town being gone theme.
