Beeing killed by almost anything

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 10:46 pm

Yes, I want to ask you guys something. It's ridiculous, but I can't realize what else could be:

I restarted my stealth character for the third time (I DO love restarting chars in Elder Scrolls. Is the ONLY game I use to restart everytime)

I'm re-creating the char because I want to create the IDEAL Assassin Character. Alright.

The problems ARE:
  • I'm at lvl 30 and NO DRAGONS at all. I'm near the Sovngarde quest and no random dragons. I find only the ones at the dragon stones (and they are falling to the ground and sliding... creating a bizarre sand trail... The worst is: They do that in water also. Looks like a lizard jetsky.. whatever)
  • I am beeing killed by almost ANYTHING THAR CROSSES MY PATH.. I've found a "BANDIT" (no outlaw.. or anything) lost in the roads. I power attacked him with my dual wielding EPIC Dwarven Blades and 1/9 of the Bandit's HP decreased. Holy [censored]!
He turns back and draw a one handed AXE. Gives me a power attack and I ... Die.

    I can't kill him face-to-face. I have to sneak!
  • The dragons in the dragon stones are killing me with 1/2 of it's frost breath. A fire breath longs kinda 3 seconds. If the frost hits me for 1/2 second, I die. My HP reaches zero in LESS than one second.

I'm a nord and, plus, I am using 32% frost resistance potions all the time! What the hell?
So, what could be happening!? I'm playing on Expert, not in the "Insane, stupid. Die already your mazochist!"

Ouch. That bites. The only advice I can think of is to turn down the difficulty a notch. I do apologize if that's not the answer you're looking for.

1 - Thanks by your help, Argonian battlemage dude, but I intent to play on expert. XD

2 - I have 250 HP right now. 290 of light armor skill plus some resistances, if needed.

Has it been like this since you started the character or did it start recently?

Now I feel like I'm on the doctor. XD (on doctor, at the doctor? Wich is correct? English iz not my firzt lang)

It started yesterday, after my archery skill messed up to -15. Had to use console to fix it.

Now everything is messed up. Heavy damage... And that's happening to new games also. My heavy armored "Zangudo" is beeing killed by a single mudcrab!

Ps.: I do not use console or cheats! I only use console if I need to fix a quest bug. And that's ALL. I din't ever resurrected a dead ally.

Dragons are the main problem with stealthy characters, because most often they have the advantage of surprise, not you. They are my stealth character's only larger threats. What comes to the random bandits in the wilderness: try to see them before they see you, and use illusion spells to your advantage if you are caught by surprise.

Wow, if that's the case it sounds like you're in deep doodoo. I think the only way to fix it is to uninstall and reinstall it on your computer if it started after using console commands. But I wouldn't suggest doing it - doesn't seem worth it.

That marksmen bug you had is just a display glitch, level it up once and it will revert back to its original level+1, just for future reference

What difficulty are you on and what are your character's stats?

My mage hasn't invested any points into health and Bandits don't one hit me so I'm not sure whats wrong with your character.

http://www.gamesas.com/user/765411-ciryathaen/, my problem is not with the dragons itself. The problem is how I get owned by anything. Even skeevers are threating me. :S

Radulov, I didn't use console in this save. It's "console comands safe". That's what I don't understand.

I can't really understand what's that. xD

Not a issue but not a problem with console commands. What could be?

Skeevers? Now that must be alarming.

Not that much. Only 1/4 of my health per attack. 4 skeevers means hitkill.

I'm desperated, in my old save I melee'd an elder dragon with the same archetype assassin.

And there's something worse: I got 54 of damage with BOTH swords. 29 of damage with EPIC upgrade. Level 30.

Is that normal, dudes?

I lvled 1 assassin on master from lvl 1 to 50 something, and the hardest is the begining because you rly need the armor rating and Hp to survive, at lvl 50 I have something like 430 base Hp, 200 stamina and 150 magicka (100 is enough, but helps having 2 quick heals avaiable just in case), and armor rating 560, magic resist at 85 (playing breton).

I think you already answer your question tbh, the problem is your low survivability, I like playing breton because its the best race for min maxing, has you won't need any +magic or individual resist gear if using lord stone.
Has you are playing assassin I would devote first levels to find a light armor trainer an pickpocket from him the money you pay, to play on master you rly need armor rating up until you have invisibility and maxed stealth with shadow warrior, I think Nazir is the obvious skill trainer for this.
Then when you are geting close to lvl 20 raise enchanting and smithing to 100, (remember you can repeat the trainer/pickpocket thing), you need them to be effective on expert/master, or your 30 dmg swords wont even scratch that troll you found on the road.

Anyway one last tip, to start geting stealth skill up on early lvls, a melee dual wield attack from 2 daggers will problably give you like 3 stealth lvls per kill on the first 20s, take armor off and walk slowly so you aren't detected, dont forget that stealth kills with swords make noise, but are noiseless with daggers, hope I helped in anyway. Also last tip 1 dagger in offhand and a sword in right will do very fast power attacks, faster then 2 swords or 2 daggers.

That svcks. I'm the exact opposite. I'm playing on master and I have to downgrade my weapons or armor otherwise I'm unstoppable. My advice to you is invest points into enchanting, it's the only way you'll survive. With full enchantment perks you can add a ton more health and resistance. You should have no problems after that.

Then you already know the answer to your question.

no, dude.. You got it wrong. It's not a question about "How create the best assassin". Is like Why my assassin is getting owned by skeevers and bandits if I already did other Assassins and they never did get owned that way.

you mentioned that it was after a console command that it all went to Oblivion in a bone basket.

can you reset the console to default?

otherwise reload a save before you used the console and see.

it that doesn't work you may have to uninstall and then reinstall the game.

Oh yeah! I remember that bug. Archery showed a wrong number. It self corrected after 3 or 4 level ups for me.
