Has anyone met the ghostly bard after taking a long leap?

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 10:02 am

I love this game. I don't read game guides or wikis or anything and I'm still discovering awesome little gameworld touches after 170+ hours.....

Anyone else met this ghostly bard? :)

Yeah. I wasn't really expecting anything to happen after taking the plunge, I figured the jump itself was the reward

I have met the bard, it was pretty cool, but I just continued to jump off over and over :P

Haven't had the chance yet. Guests I better find something tall to jump off of?

Something new I experienced they other day, I did a back stab on a vampire thrall, as I slit his throat with my dagger he whispered "thank you". Was a cool little detail they threw on there I wasn't expecting.

There's one specific landmark you have to jump off of.

I also was surprised when the ghost appeared.... I thought it was just going be something wacky I did, but the game acknowledged it!
Very cool.

I really wish I was patient enough to go exploring and find these things out on my own, but no. I read about this little encounter, and the only character I've done it on was one I'd used "tmm 1" on a long time ago.

Off-topic personal secret: I'm actually insanely jealous of people who can turn off fast travel and the compass and quest markers and walk everywhere without going insane.

That location's one of the must-visits of a play-through for me. Just be careful should you decide to visit, for several reasons... :flamethrower:

I found the location, I knew about the leap, and my charater was knocked over the edge by the Stray Dog! My character was lucky enough to have been pushed towards the waterfall. My character had one point of health, but the Bards ghost still acknowledged the tumble down the waterfall as a successful leap.

I took the "Bard's Leap" and met him. Nice touch, i only wanted to see if i can survive that. Though it seems you can survive infinite fall as long as there is water deep enough to can dive in below. Speaking of, don't try to leap into the pool of water at Ustengrav's cave :hehe:
