Welcome me to Skyrim

Hi
I just got Skyrim yesterday and I'm having a blast. I only played very little of Morrowind and I haven't really had much experience in this type of game.

I went through a few characters but finally settled down on a Redguard. I am a skinny warrior type that just wants to fight for something and make some money. I'm level 6 and I'm focusing on 2H weapons and 1H weapons. With my 1H weapons I either switch to my magic (flames, healing) or my shield. I want to have somewhat of a Paladin with this chracater so I plan on finding restoration spells. I have killed the dragon for the Jarl of Whiterun and after doing so made Whiterun my home. I need to buy house there (saving up) and I joined the Companions to be part of a group of fighters. I am in Ivansgraed and I already tried walking up the 7,000 steps to be bested by a nasty Frost Troll. I plan on going back home to explore the city I live in a little more and afterword plan on doing my first quest as a companion and going to a city north of Whiterun to kill the leaders of the city. I want to then trek even further north to the College so maybe I can learn a little magic there. Maybe after that adventure I can try to meet with the Greybeards again.

Just wondering if anyone wants to suggest what to do. I know this game is to just play as the character you are playing as and I will do that. Can I learn new restoration magics at the college?

Run while you can, enjoy the magic before it vanishes.

Check yourself the college. And I can tell you: Check out the companions in Whiterun. They can show you something you may find really interesting for you character!

Please do not post Spoilers in General.

People come to General to learn about the game without learning about what happens in the game. If they want to know about what happens, that is what the Cheats, Hints and Spoilers section is for.

Do not use quest details or location specific details related to quests/puzzles/NPCs in your posts in this section. General is for discussing gameplay and mechanics and general topics about the the game including but not limited to races, items and their use, magic, enchanting, skills, character builds, criticism, praise, funny random things that happen, places from an esthetic standpoint and and other general topics.

Use the Spoilers Section if you have to post quest details or other spoilers or a thread about the same. I will move this now.
