Using the console, is it possible to revert the main quest b

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 11:26 am

I just had to use the console to advance myself far into the main quest, in order to resolve another bug I had in my game. Unfortunately I don't want to do the main quest with my character, and I really don't want dragons to be attacking. Is it possible to use the console to get the main quest back to the very start? Before dragons start attacking and all that? Thanks

Nope.... once you've advanced a quest line with the console, you can't go backward. Vermilion Sparrow is testing a potential help for you, and will likely report in your other thread.

I wish there could be a method for preventing dragon from spawning once the main quest is over. Head over to the Neus and see if there's a mod. I could find any and I think it's one of those things impossible to do until the construction kit will be released.

Actually, there's a console command that appears to turn off random dragons.

set mq106turnoffrandomdragons to 1

Finishing The Horn of Jergen Windcaller also pauses random Dragon encounters until you've completed A Blade in The Dark. This is because they cannot afford to have random Dragon encounters that will give the Dragon Souls while Delphine is around. I've just finished The Horn of Jergen Windcaller and told Delphine, "I don't need to prove anything to you. I am done here", then walks off to do Miscellaneous Town Quests and no Dragons have bothered me ever since.

Yeah, that console command I mentioned just basically turns that "no random dragons" part of A Blade In The Dark on at any time you want (the quest ID for A Blade In The Dark is MQ106).

And you're welcome, msxyz. :)
