dumb imperials?

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 11:50 pm

I've compledet the civil war story line having the stormcloaks win. I saw some imperials with a stormcloak prisoner. I'm like great I can follow them to their camp. Well I don't know what they were thinking but they brought him to one of the forts we had taken over. I got the game paused as there not exactly there yet but I'm wondering if I should kill them myself or should I see if the unsuspecting stormcloaks there will ambush them? lol.

What you think I should do? Will the stormcloaks go after them still?

Due to how poorly the aftermath was implemented, attacking those particular Imperials will likely incur a bounty.

Interesting, I'd keep following them to see what happens at the fort.

I'm hoping that the 1.4 patch fixes these seemingly radiant AI issues right up.

ya I hope they patch it up also.

I attacked them without being in stealth mode and your right I got a bounty. I reloaded the save and the stormcloaks didn't fight them so I just left and went off to finish my quest I was on.

Sadly attacking them will end in a bounty, though it never hurts to hit a few of them in the back with an arrow or two.

I've never gotten a bounty for taking out the guards escorting a prisoner. Guess it was because it was out in the wilds and all the witnesses were dead- but I also don't get bounty notices.

Now that I think about it I should have stayed hidden and tried to use a rage spell lol.

Usually if you free the prisoner first you won't incur the bounty. However, when I do that the prisoner ALWAYS dies. I even ran around with a full set or armor and a weapon to give to a potential prisoner, but he didn't equip them and died anyway. Sigh.

My guess would be to make a summon, have your horse and companion by. and your job is to heal the prisoner the entire time lol.

I stopped trying to free the prisoner. The first time I did I got a bounty and guess what? The prisoner was the witness framing me for murder! Gee and I though I was making him a favor! I killed him too and the bounty was removed because nobody else saw me.

I managed to rescue a prisoner once. He was smarter than most I guess because he ran off screaming after the first of his escort dropped dead all of a sudden. After I killed the other two soldiers I ran after him and tried to talk to him but the just yelled "Stay away from me!" and "Aaaargh!". Then I saw the bounty and I registered the fact that we were miles away from civilization. Ah well, he was annoying me anyway...

The Stormcloaks will probably kill them.

Considering the immortal commanders bugs, bards still singing "Down with Ulfric", etc... I believe Bethesda didn't invest too long into the Stormcloack side of the campaign. Playing as a legionnaire afterwards you don't incur into so many bugs and inconsistencies.

Funny that you should mention this, OP. Throughout the game, I've noticed that both Imperial as well as Stormcloak patrols have a collective intelligence just slightly above mental retardation...
