Lazy bethesda... :P

Have anyone else seen how ridicolous argonians look when they have the Nightingale mask on?
I made a new character just to be a thief and to be a nightingale, but when i finally got the clothes... I was very, very disappointed with how they made me look..
Argonians have long dinosaur like faces, but when i equip the mask my face becomes shaped like a human..
Very, very lazy done of you, bethesda... This actually ruins the game for me a bit. Oh, and i have HORNS too! But do they appear? Nope...
Very sloppy bethesda, i am very disappointed.
Anyone else feel the same disappointment as me? :(

yah, the same problem exists for khajiit. the face of the mask is about 6 inches shorter than the character's head; but yeah it's even more pronounced for argonians

The dark brotherhood ancient/worn cowls don't even WORK on khajiit; if you wear it the top of your head vanishes

Putting a different kind of mask for the different races would take more memory, just like the werewolf model. Not laziness, efficient use of resources.

It would only take more memory if you had both an Argonian (or Khajiit) and non-Argonian/Khajiit in the same scene. Otherwise, just more hard drive space as the texture and mesh wouldn't be loaded until needed.

So yeah, they probably sneaked it in there and thought no one would notice. Or maybe it's related to the bugs with the hood, like how Vampires become bald.

Just another model for argonians(and maybe khajits) can't take so much memory can it?
Still, it's ruining immersion and that's what this game is about :P

Ruining immersion and yet you're playing in third person? *confused* Don't wear the mask, then?

I like to know how i look... This is a roleplaying game, and immersion is very important in RP games....
I don't wear the mask as of now, i just think it's lazy of them to not include such an obvious thing.

It's just taking the easy way out. There can be male and female models of the same equipment, but no race specific ones. They should've made new meshes for the beast races and then have a script to determine what race the player is and give the correct headgear. Easier to just have a single mdoel and give it to everyone.

Cut corners for a cool release date :)

I remember that in Morrowind beast races couldn't use closed helms and boots. This was logical considering the different physiology of those two races. Yet, a lot of people complained... So much for the suspension of disbelief! Now Bethesda has made apparel open to anyone by using a small trick and people still complain.

Far from defending Bethesda on anything it does but, in this specific issue, I can say it had tried to listen to the community; what you see is the results of people complaining that certain helms couldn't be used with those ugly bipedal lizards.

Exactly.. It's a shame that they hurried the game just to get it out on the 11th... :(

Well, bethesda could have thought of it a bit more...What is better? An argonian NOT wearing closed headgear so you can see it's an argonian, or have their faces pressed in so it looks like a human face?
Seriously, it looks like [censored]... they could atleast have made so the masks are open when you use beast races.. but noooo, they just had to release the 11th..
