Little runt tried to break into my home...

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 8:27 pm

A Wood Elf no less! It happened in Solitude, late at night when I was heading home to unload some loot. I see this midget sneaking about and curious as ever I wondered who the poor sod was going to be his victim. The moment he stopped at the front of my house I froze solid. You better not try it or else...

And that midget starts picking the lock! I murdered him moments later.

I really want this to happen now... I'd figure out a way to get the body up on a fence or something to warn the other potential thieves.

Yes! Vlad the Impaler moves to Solitude!

I take you restored the Thieves guild, right? I've started to see unnamed thieves wandering the streets at night trying to get into homes. Guards and citizens will attack them on sight. The funny thing is that, as a "colleague", you can talk to them: they will exit from sneak mode making themselves visible to any nearby citizen or guard and thus causing a commotion.

If they did that to me, they'd serve me in life and death for as long as I wished. Trust me, you don't want to be my thrall!

They can't actually take anything out of your home, can they?

I've never had one attempt to rob me, but I've seen the generic "Thieves" in the Thieves Guild armor coming out of houses with plates and goblets and little odds and ends that I assume they stole from the house they were in.

If they ever broke into my house....grrr. Taking all of my dragon bones and Daedric artifacts.....

Nah, they can't get into your house. They just fumble with the lock. I saw one trying to break into the Riverwood trader.

I've had a thief try to mug me several times - early in the game.
And I've had a thief stop and give me a bag of gold after becoming guild master. (guild dues I presume)
Not seen any other thieves out and about in town though.

If they tried it, they'd be out of the guild anyway for attempting the rob the bloody guild master.

I've caught thieves in houses a couple times. Once in my own, once in my character's husband's house. It's a fun little addition. I don't think they actually steal any of your stuff.
