Expedition to Atmora?

Let's say that a wealthy scholar or collector commissions you the player, as an archaeologist (with or without an expeditionary force to sail there with you) to search for some sort of ancient relic from the continent of Atmora? Perhaps a valuable, enchanted sword or set of armor belonging to a legendary king or nobleman? Maybe something to do with Talos? Atmora is to the north of Tamriel, I'm not sure how many miles north, but it is quite a distance away. Apparently, no ship has been there for centuries, and it has a bad climate now, but I think Bethesda can make something like this possible. Here's more on Atmora:

Supposedly, all or most of the human races (except Redguards, who were from Yokuda) originated in Atmora; the Nords, Imperials, and Bretons (who are actually the result of Nedic-Altmer intermarriage), originally one race referred to as Nedes. I'm sure that there are a number of ruins (barrows, towns, forts) that may be left intact. It's unknown up to this point if anybody is still alive over there given the harsh climate (worse than northern Skyrim), but I wouldn't dismiss the possibility of a few hunter-gatherer tribes along the southern coast of the land. One thing that I would doubt is any sort of large scale political organization existing there anymore; a kingdom.

I don't think all of Atmora should necessarily have to be included for an expansion pack like this to work, as it's a massive continent I think, but Bethesda could make it relatively easily, given that it seems little different from the far north in Skyrim already (snow and ice terrain, blizzards).

I think it's an awesome idea, but there are a great many awesome possible ideas for expansions, the elder scrolls universe is rich in great background material and I look forward to whatever Bethesda comes up with. Saying that though, I do like that Atmora does have specific connections with Skyrim, specifically Ysgramor and the Companions.

Yeah, Atmora really could be an appreciable location. It would basically serve to this game what Solstheim was to Morrowind, I'd imagine, except it's supposed to be much colder I hear. Does a map of Atmora exist? Also, how many miles away from Tamriel is the continent?

It`s a safe assumption that I would cream in my pants if they did that as an expansion.

Pre-release, I thought this would be a great DLC. A commissioned expedition to Atmora.

Hmm, very good idea and it's possible that the Dwemer may have fled (Or emigrated) to Atmora so that could be interesting too.

And there could also be a new race of men who are taller then Altmer, are more resistent to frost then Nords and their physical apearence could look similar to Nords and they could be a new playable race.
