Culinary Skyrim

What did you put in your Potage le Magnifique?

Do you use cooking and what dishes do you prefer?

Who's eating what in Skyrim and what does it say about them?

Would you ever try to duplicate a Skyrim recipe at home? If so, which one?

Why can you never find a leek when you want one?

Always take a leek when the opportunity presents itself. You never know when you'll need one later and won't be able to take one. ;)

My mage has recently discovered Elsweyr Fondue. Very handy.

My thief lives on Apple Cabbage Stew and Salmon Steaks. Salt piles are more precious than gold.

I haven't actually done much cooking, since most of the food is only marginally more useful than the raw ingredients, which are nearly worthless. But after reading on the forums about the usefulness of certain items (okay, primarly Vegetable Soup) I might give it a go at some point. It's true, though. I find tons of every vegetable except leeks.

Yeah, but unlike all the other vegetables, they're hardly ever found in dungeons.

Garlic is another rare one for me, When my thief is on the prowl, he always checks people's houses for it.

I tend to eat a lot of baked potatoes, hard boiled eggs, and sweet rolls. I'm on a diet in real life and am probably compensating. *sigh* I have that http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1409 and you can make those and other things. I'm constantly hunting for salt and garlic in barrels.

Venison Stew and Beef Stew are also very useful.

Heh, yeah, I always filch the herbs and garlic, too. I'm risking my life for their poxy villages, the least they can let me do is pinch some garlic cloves.

They don't seem to respawn. I keep going back hoping, and everything is there but leeks.

Hmm. Random? I find more Grilled Leeks in dungeons than anywhere else!

Grilled Leeks are no good if you want to make stew, they have to be raw.

Ah.... leave it to me to miss the simple essential.... Can I chalk it up to needing another glass of burgundy?
