But experiencing for yourself is different than just watching.

After I helped negotiate a peace treaty, still sitting speechless, Delphine came to me talking about how she finally knows who this "Paarthurnax" fella is. So I told her, "He's a dragon, but he helped me"

To which she replied:

"That's good. We needed him. Now we don't, and his punishment is long overdue" (or something of sorts, I stopped paying attention after the bolded part)

This is infuriating. While I know that Delphine and Esbern will ignore you as a Dragonborn while for the past... IDK, 700 years? they've been doing nothing but being spec ops, spies and bodyguards, the fact that she sees Paarthurnax merely as a disposable tool is beyond forgiveness. So, as long as Alduin is perched in Sovngarde you will plead help, and once Alduin is nobody-knows-where Paarthurnax suddenly becomes an empty soda can?



So....


The command is "set essential to 0", right?

No she sees parthanaax as a dragon, her enemy, as the former right hand of alduin who just like his old boss has murdered thousands of people.

But, it's your game so have at it.

That command is correct.

You can be extra evil too. Kill her and then disable her body, removing her from the game completly ;p.

I was so mad she dared saying that to me right there in High Hrothgar, right in front of Arngeir, that I took of my weapons and just punched her in the face
I also wanted to pickpocket all of their armor just so they would go naked all the way back to their lair (I had the perk) but for some reason I couldn't.

I want to kill her too. Can you do that after you finish the Main Quest without the game going buggy?

Should be fine, as the Blades are really needed only up until Season Unending (and so are the Greybeards, actually)

So, probably, the moment she says anything like that, she's no longer necessary

Ah, ah, ah; can't pickpocket the equipment off of essential NPCs (though you can snag their weapons, and some NPCs like Astrid are not essential at certain points), and essential status can be tied to quest aliases independently of "SetEssential" commands, which I would assume is true of Delphine and Esbern, since they're super-important for the main quest.
