So I'm gearing up to start a new game (waiting until patch 1.6). It's going to be a long, arduous journey to bring myself to the level I was previously at before my last save became unplayable due to the BSF. I've turned all auto-saves off, and I'm going to make sure not to leave weapons lying around, or to pick things up that aren't in chests, or to leave doors open, or to store things in my chests at my houses in the hopes that I'll get several hundered more hours out of this save.

I have one question remaining though, how often should I clear my cache ? On my prevous save I was clearing everytime before I booted up the game. This meant sometimes I'd be clearing it twice in one night etc. Is this too much ? Or should I continue doing this in my new save as well ?

That's a pretty good question! Are you on PC, box? How do you "clear your cache" anyway? Sorry for the non-answer...

Speaking as an xbox player, I almost never clear my cache. The last time I did so was to eliminate it as a possibility of what was screwing with my Internet connection.

I think BT need to send someone round to look at my line, as my speeds periodically drop from 37 mb to less than 1 mb. Not good for gaming

But back on topic, in my experience you shouldn't need to unless your console is playing up, and if that doesnt sort it then the problem lies elsewhere - you certainly shouldn't have to do so once a day...

Clearing the Cache is not needed in this game, unless your console is acting up. So, play on and enjoy.

Honestly ? I've seen numerous posts in the bugs forum telling people to clear their cache's regularly.
