unique weapons disappointment?

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 12:20 am

First of all skyrim is a terrific game. lets get that out of the way. it is a huge world, with numerous caves and dungeons to explore. But honestly for such a huge gaming world it kind of disappoints me to see such few unique weapons. And im not talking a unique weapon that has a different name from the rest, because skyrim has a vast majority of those. im referring to weapons that look completely different from other and different strengths. im just a little disappointed in that aspect. anybody else feel the same?

Well.... a little. But once the CK comes out the modders will pick up the Bethesda slack, just as they've done for the previous games.

Theres A FEW That are cool, Like Dawn breaker and The Ebony blade(Loved how you had to kill a friend for the ebony blade to get stronger)

I agree, and there was the same issue for me in Oblivion. Perhaps it would be to time draining to make different models just for one weapon.

I'm actually hoping that the guy who did the Sentient Weapon mod for Oblivion is still around and would update that for this game.... Oh what was his name? Hmmm..... gotta look back through years of mod files....

i can see that it might be time consuming to make unique weapons but thats kind of hard to understand when every cavern, dungeon, or camp has its own backstory. but it svcks that they put so much emphasis on exploring with no "unique" treasures.

What frightens me is that this assumption has become the norm, and that it excuses a halfassed product from getting released.
Skyrim's more bugged than a MF, but their main priority was to "fix" the Oghma Infinium glitch, which STILL isn't fixed?
I hope they concentrate on things that are actually broken...
