So I am cruising around blackreach and found the Dwarvin compound. As I am battling all the Falmer a freaking dragon appears! How in the world did a dragon get into blackreach! haha That is all.

On a side note: This is only my second TES game, first being Oblivion. This may have already been explained but why are there always Falmer in Dwarving ruins? Are they the last of the Dwemer race? The movie Pandorum comes to mind.

I'm no lore expert at all, but I'm pretty sure the Falmer were pushed deep underground by the Dwemer and used as slaves.

The Dwemer wear turned into dust when they were used as the golden skin of a god when the Heart of Lorkhan was activated. They were currently at war with the Falmer, and they showed up for battle one day, finding empty armor and dust.

At least, that's the theory.

Falmer were Snow Elves forced into the underground by the Dwemer. They became vile creatures that seek to destroy everyone and everything above ground.

Also the Falmer are returning to the surface in great number.The author of the "book of the Falmer" States that "No Mer or God will be able to stop them".
