Hello All,

At some point durting the Companions quest, I got the shards of Wuuthrad from somewhere on a quest...I can't remember where.

Near the end of the questline, I got another quest from Aela to get a shard from yet another location where I had never been before. I was confused, because I thought Wuuthrad was all in one piece.

Anyhow, after finishing the main Companion quest line, I decided to head over to where the quest was directing me.

I had definitely not been there before, and I wiped the place out but there was no shard in the final chest.

So now the quest is sitting there open with no way for me close it. Has anyone experienced this?

I did it at different times too. Sounds like we did similar path on it, but I didn't have any issues. I can only guess that you have completed a step you didn't realize? Lol, or maybe you somewhere missed a step? Your journal points to where to go, maybe that will help....

If you are on PC you can use console to reset the quest, or force it done(I think). I haven't done that so not sure about specifics. You can probably find that walkthrough over in the cheats section tho. GL
