I didn't take 7 perks and 100 skill ranks in speechcraft just to shoot a guy in the face... I always do my best to talk them out of it... of course, Bethesda rarely gives us dialogue choices, LET ALONE a chance to use speech to change an outcome; but, I try my best

None whatsoever, neither dialogue option has any effect on the outcome, you're basiclly picking which smarmy remark he makes before ~~he kills you~~ you kill him
