Finally made Arch Mage!

I really liked the College of Magic storyline. Labyrinthian is the coolest dungeon I've been in, up to this point. Morokei was a really tough opponent (took me 3 tries to defeat him). The ghosts you see as you advance through the dungeon were also really cool. And the skeletal dragon at the beginning was fun.

After defeating Morokei, Estorno and Ancarno were pretty easy to defeat.

Overall, a fun questline. And the Arch mage quarters are pretty damn sweet!

Congratulations! The Archmage robes are sweet too. I've been wearing them since I got them. You'll want the Mage Armor perk and non-armor boots so the Stoneflesh spell (and higher) will protect you like armor. :) I thought that questline was a lot of fun too.

Well, if you do the quest line straight through, you can be archmage just a couple days after joining the college, and you only need to know a couple of spells (the one you need to get in, and the ones you need to pass those doors in the dungeons). That's what people think is unreal. The dungeons were a lot of fun, especially the last one, but I do wish there was more to it.

overall i liked the college questline. it was short in the number of total quests (excluding the minor help quests for individual members) but i thought some of the lengthy dungeon crawls made up for it. i knew labyrinthian was going to be fun when it started off with a skeleton dragon. my two criticisms of the questline: it was way too obvious that you'd have to fight ancano and the death of arch mage aren felt forced just to open up the position for you. the quests were fun, the story could have been better/fleshed out more.

I liked the Questline. I thought being named the arch-mage was dumb - especially since it was the first questline I did and I may or may not have even had firebolt by then.

Of course now I've just decided that Arch-Mage is a title they keep on hand for helpers, fundraisers or other useful idiots who they want to "honor". It doesn't really need to mean the boss - since I'm clearly not.

It's a bit short, but the College has all sorts of side quests as well which people don't take into account.

Still, I was a bit disappointed that that plot point with the dwemer map and the Synod was completely ignored after just one quest.

I enjoyed the quest line too. Even as a warrior I thought it was rather amusing and the side quests of the college offer quite a bit of content too.

I finished the mages quests yesterday for the first time. Now all I have left is the bards and DB (which I'll use a new character for).

I liked the quests, though the final battle in the tower made no sense at all. I never really understood what the Thalmor guy was doing (or how he was doing it). I think the quest kinda fell apart at that point. I also have to totally disagree that my character should have been named Arch-mage, but I guess Bethesda had to do that to give the fanboiz what they wanted, logic be damned. The really sad part is what is left to do after you become Arch-mage (no wonder nobody wanted the job). The prior Arch-mage sent me on quests, so why can't I send others on quests? Instead I'm still doing fetch quests for the other faction members. Can't they see these robes I'm wearing?

I felt like something is missing from the questline it could've had so much potential but they kind of rushed it, it seems

btw you can also wear a circlet with the archmage robe and a dragon priest mask but you run into a glitch with the dragon priest masks and archmage robe
