Hey so I have a level 27 archer that has gone through lots of dungeons and even found the ebony bow, which I think is the 2nd to best(?). However I've never come across a daedric bow, so I was wondering can you actually find one of these or can you only get it from smithing?

You won't find it at such a low level unless you're extremely lucky.

Loot, like enemies, is level scaled. So, yes, you'll be able to find it, but I think you have to be close to the 50's in order to find it in loot.

I started finding ebony stuff at 40 I think.

I found one in a chest at L46 when playing a thief / assassin character randomly exploring a dungeon. Then a pair of boots in another. It was not common loot at that level though.

If you found an ebony bow at 27, it might be quest related, but you definitely do find more ebony stuff consistently later on when you're at a higher level.

Yes you can,but it's extremely rare.Also you need to be high level to increase the chances.I just found about 2 hours ago a deadric helmet.

I actually found the ebony bow in a chest at like level 20. Guess the god's were just on my side that time.

In think you should start making smithing point. It is easy to earn.

making iron dagger will help build smithing build up pretty fast, and cheap!!

I found an ebony sword at level 24.
Don't remember where, but I couldn't smith it myself. Just gave it to Lydia anyways. I like big swords.

Draugr Deathlords will often have Ebony weapons and shields starting in the mid-20's, it seems. I'm not sure why. That's a lot of damage, both to face and to wield at that level. I have a level 29 character that has quite a few Ebony axes, a sword, and at least two shields just from Deathlords. Too bad he's a mage.

You can make Daedric weapons without needing the smithing perk to make them but I'd be posting a pretty huge spoiler if I said how so...

You can turn an Ebony whatever into a Daedric whatever in the game. Its a mite tricky though (and spoilers to post, but not hard to find)

Yup I was dual-wielding ebony axes and completely skipped dwarvern and orcish ones. As for the daedric bow I'm level 62 and have found about 6 or 7 so far and only one of them wasn't enchanted.

Yes you can! I found one when I was in my upper 40's, throughout the course of my character I've also found a Daedric Dagger, Shield, and Helmet. They are hard to come by, and I get excited when I find one, mainly because i didn't pick the Daedric perk in the Smithing tree, and I can't make any of those. Still looking for another Dagger/Sword for my dual-wielding thief.

you can find daedric weapons in chests, on dead enemies or even on random tables once you are high enough level
if you intend to use them long term i would recommend investing in the daedric smithing perk if you can spare the points.

with enough time one can find a complete set of daedric armor and weapons and even craft them without smithing perk (no spoilers how. discover it on your own)
however, you will not be able to upgrade any of them without the smithing perk

having the perk, fortify smithing enchanted gear and drinking a fortify smithing potion can vastly improve armor and weapons well beyond the base quality numbers.
as an example one of my characters has full daedric set
nearly 1000 armor rating
sword and bow that have 120 dmg without any enchantments.
thats not even pushing how far equipment can be improved

i hear that people have crafted weapons that do upwards of 1000 damage

Some items are handplaced. I think you can find some daedric in places at lvl 1 though I have not found any myself.

Uhm I found an Ebony bow at level 23. At level 4, I found an Orcish Bow. At level 5 I found an Elven Bow... I use a weapon for like maybe 2 or 3 hours before I get an upgrade.

You can also find Dragonbone/Dragonscale items in chests.I found an Draconscale armor around level 49,don't remeber the place.

The fence at the thieves guild in riften, will sell you the daedric bow at medium-high levels. They will usually have an enchantment on them.

Im at the same lvl, and I just found 2 ebony bows by accident last night. Those are rare at that lvl even. I would not expect to see anything daedric until at least mid/late 30s, and those will be rare encounters like the ebony @27 I think. The glass is hardly showing up for me yet, Ive found one glass sword, maybe 2 glass daggers and a glass axe.
