Nice offering...

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 1:05 am

So I saw a farmer near Whiterun with a painted cow in tow who said it was an offering to some nearby giants in order to protect his livestock.

I offer my help and the man says he's got it, so I decide to follow him and see how this turns out...

The farmer comes accross a giant who doesn't take it too kindly and starts running, the cow was stuck on a rock (path fail) for about 10 seconds by then, the last I see of the man is him disappearing behind a rock, the giant smashing his club on the ground and a speck disappearing into the upper atmosphere.

The cow is still stuck, the giants never cared about it, and just as I am about to leave a couple of minutes later, the man lands on a mammoth 3 feet away from me.

That was mean of you Beth, that farmer actually thought his offering would work.

Rofl. Brilliant. That will teach the farmer to make deals with those treacherous giants.
I thought they were supposed to be friendly after hearing the pre launch hype...until I got close to one...*SPLAT*

In my game, the Farmer found that the group of dead giants had no need for his cow afterall... :toughninja:

I do actively target ALL giants and Mammoths now without exception - after getting insta-killed by the first one I encountered while inncently wandering near by. I didn't even get the "warning" type foot stamp and club shake I've seen them do since. For this reason ALL giants die in my game...wish I could cast a rune on that cow so it explodes... lol.

I LOL'd, watched that guy get smashed purely for entertainment. I even warded off enemies and protected him all the way to the Giant camp so that he'd meet his end unmolested. If Darwin awards were in TES, he'd get one.

I killed the giant simply because I wasn't going to walk all that way to not kill it. Giants hold a considerable amount of coin on their persons, I would have killed him regardless of this strange little ritual.

I always kill the farmer cause I feel bad for the cow. Now I know that's not necessary, thanks :P
