Arch-Mage Room

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 9:07 am

I'm having an issue where the arch-mage's room, the one with the big collection of alchemy ingredients are not respawning.

Is this vast array of plants NOT suppose to regrow? I thought my prize for becoming the Arch-Mage was going to be a nice everlasting "forest" of supplies, and I long since picked them all up...and they have not grown back...and its in been (in game) months.

I wish I never picked it clean in the first place, it looks incredibly ugly now.

Is it not suppose to re-grow? I think this should be changed.

Too bad you can't send a follower off to gather the supplies for you. It did not respawn for me either.

Make sure you are not in the same room, if you "wait" 1,000 hours in the same room, nothing will respawn it has to be an "empty" cell for things to respawn.

I think the respawn timer for that room is set for 30 days(which is horrendous). And that is if you don't visit the room in those 30 days, otherwise the timer restarts. You can do a test, go in another cell, wait for 30+ days then go back. Or you could fast-travel Riften-Solitude for test purposes(it takes 1 day to travel the distance, I think), it's faster than waiting.

Over a month of in-game time has passed since I picked it clean.

I've done a lot since then, even specifically went to Whiterun and slept for 3 days to try and reset it to no avail.

Oh wow, I have to wait 30 days without being in the room once? Craziness, I'll try that tonight.

Yes, like I said, the timer resets when you enter the room. So if you wait 29 days(outside of the room-cell) and enter, the timer goes back to 30. Do it with the fast travel thing (Riften-Solitude). It's faster and you would only use it this time for test purposes.

I'll report back later tonight if this works (assuming the mods don't delete the thread).

Thanks for the tip.

Maybe you need to drop some imp stools around as fertilizer?
