Best game I have played so far

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 12:24 pm

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that a few days ago I thought that this game was going to be dull and boring since I am not a major RP'er. However, I took the plunge and bought the game. I am not dissapointed AT ALL, this is by far the best game I have played. So far I have 16 hours in it and I am only lvl 14. This is going to be a fun and entertaining game for a long time to come.

So was anyone else skeptical before buying it?

"Only Lv14"? That's not a greenhorn level in my book. Don't rush leveling, though - it's more fun if you take your time.

I was skeptical, in fact, mainly because I was majorly disappointed in Oblivion after playing it for a while. That just wrecked my world, since after Morrowind, I had so ridiculously high hopes, and back then the graphics and physics were astonishing in my opinion, so the trailers just messed me up. But I was positively surprised and I still find the game worth playing, after a total of couple hundred hours of playtime.

I bought it the day it came out for PS3. Yes yes, I know how people say it's buggy for PS3, but quite honestly I've encountered few bugs, and I'm completely happy with the purchase and just the game in general. I also bought Oblivion a few days later.
Oh and I'm level 45 with well over 200 hours, still finding new stuff every day, when I'm not role playing in Windhelm that is.

I am not sure if i am rushing the leveling, since i havent even gone to the greybeards to learn more shout stuff yet (im still in whiterun). I have only done the misc quests and the companion questline so far, and that has taken me 16ish hours. But the mere ammount of things you can do is what makes this game amazing to me, I can practically do ANYTHING i want. ANother factor is that i can BE WHATEVER i want, a theif, a warrior, a wizard, a healer, pretty much anything or any style of gameplay. THats why i love skyrim so much now :D

Yeah, that does make it great. I was shocked by the removal of the class system at first, but as it turns out, it worked out pretty damn well.

And to be fair, questing and leveling are pretty much unrelated :) I only went to the Graybeards after 100+ hours of playing, since I like to postpone the main quest as much as possible. After all, you don't need to complete a single quest to gain levels. What I mean is, it's more fun if you don't pay too close attention to your level, or intentionally attempt to gain as many as you can. Not to imply that is what you're doing, but I just thought I'd point out that leveling up is just a side-product of the fun that is the world of Skyrim :)
