This answers some questions I had about how in depth the RPG elements of the game were goign to be. I love that id is adding more RPG elements and more Quest type objectives with meaningful dialogue. I love my RUN and GUN but adding these other elements really enchances the times that you do RUN and GUN. I find that the best action parts in Movies are alwasy about resolving a real conflict and you show the Fight/ACtion scene because it moves the story forward on that resolution.
I hope this is the direction that ID is taking with Rage...in certain ways it kind of reminds me of a WOW mission but with FPS...I think that is one of the great thigns about WOW, the quests are so refreshing and satisfying, you might not always know why you are there in regards of the BIG story but you at least know that you completing this quest gets you X or Y.
The wait is brutal, I hope this game comes out early 2011, would be a shame if these graphics become less dominant when the underlying tech is internally 5-6 years old.
