Have you guys seen this huge easter egg about bugs in jars?

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 1:53 pm

http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/nklj2/you_know_those_runes_on_the_lids_of_the_bug_jars/

This is apparently some huge easter egg in Skyrim, or maybe it's not an easter egg.

Apparently there are like 7 jars scattered across Skyrim with bugs in it and they have runes on the top of the jars. People have been trying to figure it out for a long time now and no one has.

There's also apparently an altar in the middle of Skyrim that has places for the 7 jars and you can place the jars on the altar just like you can place the dragon priest masks in labrynthian.

This is super cool!

Ive seen this pop up numerous times on the forum and there is no definite proof of anything. Personally I believe its just an 'homage' to perhaps players or developers. I know in Morrowind there were some ashes urns named after a couple elderscrolls forum users who had passed away during the making of the game. It would be something that you may or may not have found and wouldn't know what they truly meant. Kudos to the imagination though, those jars have made alot of people stop and think of what they are for other then decoration and a meaning we are not aware of yet.

EDIT: Nevermind, the altar is apparently the Waynon Stones.

I've put them on the shelves in the Alchemy room in Markarth, after clearing off all the ingredients. They look nice. I don't particularly care about anything else that may or may not be true of them.

They allow you to have all perks in the game and fly bareback naked on dragons. It also unlocks all weapons used in MW3 and BF3.

You might think this will make the game too easy. But there's a catch.

Jesus also returns and raises every dead thing that you have killed in the entire game and turns them against you.

Damn, I sold one of them, because it didn't feel like an appropriate decoration in my Prospire Manor. Now I know some item I sell stay in the Merchants inventory forever. I hope I can buy it back.

The jars respawn, as far as I can tell. At least I have two of one of the jars on one of my characters.

Whoever wrote that is having a huge laugh that this is still going and people still believe him. Stop falling for it.

See that sounds logical, and something I can see the devs doing. I didn't know about the zelda jars so that makes some sense.

You're doing it wrong...
Drop them on the floor, go out, go inside, LIFT them up, dont add them to your inventory, just lift them up and place them where you want! Done
