I have twice seen very awesome battle-axe and I wish to get it but I have not found it yet - even I have tried to do so all 192 hours I have played the game. The axe was used in executions in Helgen and Solitude. What is the name of that battle-axe and where can I get it?

It's the Headsman's Axe. I don't know if you can get it without using a console code.

Both headsman use the same axe.

You can find Ahtar after the beheading. He has a quest you can do and once it is completed, he can become a follower. This will allow you to take the axe.

The other ways are:

IF you have a high pickpocket skill you can pickpocket it off him.

You can kill him and take it off his corpse. But you will get a bounty.

It's called the headman's axe and i believe you can acquire the axe if you do the executioner's quest in solitude. he'll become your follower and you can trade inventories with him and take it there. Oh and while it's a two handed weapon it appears to be affected by one handed perks just so you know.

Well then it is as I thought it might be and I will never have that axe. I use console only for solving bug-problems or for roleplaying tricks (like getting in Thalmor-faction when I'm playing as Thalmor agent). Anyway I made this topic because I just got an idea that you can maybe receive that axe when you play on the side of executioners(=Imperials).

I killed him once and there was no axe in his body - only enchanted orcish sword.

Ahtar has it on him. I killed him several times and he did have the axe on his corpse each time. You must be bugged or its the wrong person

I'm certain it was Ahtar because he was swinging the axe just above the Roggvir's head at the time he died. It was probably a bug.

Well, Pupp said you need to do Ahtar's quest, so he becomes your follower, so you can mess with the inventories - not kill him....
