An enchanted item to boost enchantments (?)

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 7:04 am

I didn't there would be one because, well, it seems as though it would defeat the purpose, but I have to ask.

Is there any apparel that will boost enchanting?

If there is how do I find it?

Thanks, all!

Your best option is an fortify enchanting potion made wearing full enchanted alchemy gear, it gives 29% or something bonus to enchants.
Weak compared to the other potions you can make.

32% if you're willing to loop it a couple of times, but yeah, that's pretty weak.

They went a bit too far in reining in Enchanting from the insane stuff in Oblivion; you need all 5 ranks of the base perk, plus additional perks to suit the types of potions you're making, just to get decent enchantments for most effects. That said, since enchantments for the same effect stack, if we could make ones that were much better things would get insane again, especially where damage multipliers are concerned.

For true cheese. Make your set of fortify alchemy gear. Then make a potion of restoration and drink it. Unequip and requip your alchemy gear. It now benefits from the potion of fortify restoration being X% stronger. Repeat a few times then make a potion or seven of fortify enchanting.
