Why does Bethesda loving making creatures with poison so dea

While nowhere near as annoying as Cazadors were I can't help but notices how potent the Chaurus poison can be. When I was level 40ish I got into a fight with a chaurus reapers who after hitting me a few times was doing so much poison damage my health bar looked like my level 15 orc's stamina bar while sprinting in hevay armor. I had over 300 health and it was hard to heal through it with dual casting fast healing. i'm not really trying to complain because it isn't hard to just dodge their attacks and hit them from range, I was just shocked that something was actually hurting me since i can take on about a dozen whiterun guards at once without an issue.

Worst thing about mobs using poisons is that their poison applies to the player even if you block the attack. So my warrior is completely incapable of tanking these things, and has to kill them as quickly as possible instead. (my character tanks with Lydia doing dps)

Once again people, Obsidian made New Vegas, not Bethesda. You might remember Obsidian from such films as Alpha Protocol, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Dungeon Siege III...and also previously known as Black Isle Studios.

Yeah i suppose that is true but new vegas is almost exactly the same (gameplay feel-wise) as fallout 3 so close-enough for me heh.

Not to mention, poison seems to stack...

You are poisoned...
You are more poisoned...
You are even more poisoned...
You are... ARG, you get the idea... Die already!

If Bethesda made Cazadores, I'd probably fear poison.

Hell, I the only time I even realize I am poisoned is when my body glows green. Even the most powerful poison doesn't do [censored] in Skyrim; for me, or to my enemies. I spent all that time leveling pickpocketing and taking the perks just so I could poison people by reverse pickpocketing poison into their inventory, but all it does is make them green; they don't seem to take damage AT ALL.

Oh, really? Gee, no wonder my damage magicka poison wasn't killing them. /sarcasm :shakehead:

I miss the poisoned apples from Oblivion. Couldn't reverse pickpocket in that game (well, not if the item had weight). Now you can, and the poisons are worthless. GIVE ME BACK MY DEADLY APPLES!

Well do you have a high alchemy skill? i'm sure if you get it high enough there would be some nasty poisons you could make. There were in oblivion anyway (like 10 damage per second for like 30 seconds if i remember right)

Yes poisoning can be annoying but there is a potion to overcome it. Arachnoids in the Edler Scroll have always been vicious. Anyone recall the paralyzing spiders and scorpions in Daggerfall? Now that really svcked until you could build your reisit up to it or remember to cast free action when you heard them.
