What Was Bethesda Thinking....

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 8:13 am

When you enter your own home, you get the "I hope you're not here to start trouble, friend." speech. It's your own home. Who else but the player is going to enter the home and hear this. I have no idea what Bethesda was thinking and the CS isn't out yet so we can delete these lines of terrible writing.

Obviously a glitch. Is it so hard just to ignore it?

It gets kind of annoying to hear "Are you lost?" every time I enter my house.
Not a big deal. just annoying.

Anyone here who is married will know that not all homecomings are greeted with cries of joy.

I understand.

In that case, you find a bug thread and calmly report it, so that it gets fixed in a patch. Not create a whole thread and flame Bethesda for "bad writing." Obviously the lines for stranger-not trespassing are triggering instead of "honored to see you my thane."

And FYI to any devs- I have noticed this on Hjerim and Proudspire Manor, not at Vlindrel Hall or Breezehome. Not sure about Honeyside since I didn't get the housecarl there.

Where IS this celestial bug-reporting place, and how do I get there? If I could read a list of already known bugs submitted for fixing, it would save me time searching (and then posting) here.
