I mean its not bad but its not great, the Dark Brotherhood armor I mean. On a female character it looks all well and good but when you are a nord wearing tights it is very difficult to take serious. I would have preferred something like this http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5696. By the way this does not apply to the robes which I think are awesome, im talking only about the leather DB armor which honestly, doesn't look great on a male character, at all. Maybe had they given us metal armor for DB it could have been slightly balanced because by Shor damnit a nord does not look cool or imposing in tights. Specially when it makes his upper body look completely bigger than his lower body. It makes male characters look awkward to me.

I laughed my ass off when my big burly Nord warrior donned the DB armour! Looked like I was all set for Saturday Night Fever style dancing.

On a smaller person though, it's proper ninja! Talking of ninja, is there anyway to obtain the blades katana without actually having to do the MQ? (not all my chars are dovahkiins)

No love for extra small latex suits?

My argonian looked cool enough with the light armor on. Can't say the same for my orc character. *shrug* Personally, I think it looks slightly better than in oblivion.

You can pickpocket Delphine if you have the perk to steal equipped items, otherwise I don't think so not without console commands.

Won't join the DB anyway, all I can say is the Argonian females that try to kill me every now and then absolutely rock that look. Doesn't keep them alive for very long though.

lol, it works great on females, that is never in question, but on anything other than an Argonian it makes them look like well, My Nord doesnt Dance go go damnit! Its shameful for an assassin to look a like a clown (Cicero not without consideration) and b like a medieval go go dancer.

Bloated Man's Grotto? Bolar's Oathblade?

Just looked it up but it didn't have a picture, but from what the note it is with says I assume it is the katana you guys refer to. :D
I gotta explore more rather than just doing what I'm told by (not even real!!!) people. ;p

Thanks guys! Ninja Assassin!

It's on the wall on a weapon rack in the pub you meet her, in the basemant area through the wardrobe.

lol yup, though you will need to invest in a lot of soul gems since its enchantment is strong but goes real quick!.

Can I get down there without doing the MQ bits to get to that point? Cos I would rather take an unenchanted katana if possible. :D

As long as their is no disadvantages to using an uncharged enchanted weapon I'm happy. :D

No unfortunately, unless your on PC (in which case you could just spawn it anyway). You can get katanas from alik'h warriors though IIRC.

LOL My Shadow Killer Breton girl looks pretty cool in that DB outfit! Thank goodness she's an archer, since yea, that outfit doesn't really protect well from melee blows. I need to upload her pic hahaha

While the armour looks a tad silly, I cannot complain about the advantages it gives me.

I already got a Scimitar from somewhere, actually my most powerful sword I have on this totally legit run through. (Sorta spoiled myself with some console command cheating then putting my save back to xbox to play), so I'm doing a save where I'm gonna do everything properly, and as Beth had designed. ;p (But even though my scimitar is the best, it's worth only 2 gold lmao, wth, really, it's not even worth selling ;P)

I'm about to go try this now, but anyone know if I can maybe just steal Delphines secret door key? (I'm sure she gives you one during MQ, so maybe I can pick the key off her and take the katana then give her the key back for when I decide I am gonna do the MQ)

Once I got ready to start a new game I went and fully upgraded the Ancient Shrouded Armor and ended up with very close to enough AC to reach the armor cap, so it's very functional even for melee combat. And that was with no exploits and just fortify smithing gear I found.

I don't remember there being a katana in her secret room even, I could be wrong though.

Oh yea, I'm planning on doing that. She's my 3rd and most fun character. She's just DB and TG LOL (well does some side quests, too), but she could care less about the political situation hehe Need to complete more DB quests to get the Ancient armor and work on smithing.

I carry the cloth version around for when I am on a job. I make it a point that no-one even sees me for those quests. I just wear the robes for professional pride.

Scimitar and katana have the same damage rating, but the katana looks a bit cooler I guess.

You can get Bolar's Oathblade which is a unique version of the katana from Bloated Man's Grotto. Same amount of damage as the blade swords, but the enchantment doesn't last long. It's still good till you get Dragonbane, but requires quicksilver ingots rather than steel for the blade sword to upgrade.

She only has the "Key to Sleeping Giant Inn", no secret door key as I remember it being called. :( Bloated Mans Grotto, here I come. :D
