Does anyone know a better way to set up enchantments?

Playing as a Nord :)

Helm: Using Otar
Armor: Fortify Destruction, Fortify Destruction & Magicka Regen
Gloves: Fortify One-handed
Boots: Fire Resist, Frost Resist
Neck: Fortify Destruction, Shock Resist
Ring: Fortify Destruction, Magic Resist

I'de like to stay at the magic/elemental/armor caps.

it depends on what you do, this is how i do it, i'm not really a battlemage, i use some light armor along with a robe but this is what i use
glass helmet - destruction fortification and illusion fortification
master robe of destruction - destruction fortification and magic regen
necklace - destruction fortification and alteration fortification
ring - destruction fortification and conjuring fortification
glass gauntless - light armor fortifcation and magic
glass boots - muffle and stamina
thats my setup and i use a few followers and they each have enchanted gear suited just for their playstyle for when i decide to use em, i also use the lordstone which gives a 50 bonus to armor and 25% bonus to magic resistance along with my breton racial traits which give me 25% more magic resistance and dragonskin which absorbs magic and its useful once in a while, especially at lower levels.

As a breton with the atronach perk and 2 ranks of magic resistance, book of love completed, and atronach stone.
I chose elven armor as it is very light and fits with the battlemage style. I generally blast things from afar then switch to sword and shield if im surrounded.

Helm: Fortify destruction, Fortify restoration
Armor: Fortify destruction, Fortify destruction + Regen
Gloves: One handed, Magicka
Boots: One handed, Stamina

Ring: Resist magic v2, Fortify restoration (magic resistance from shield of solitude)
Amulet: Fortify destruction, Fortify restoration

With the right smithing level or light armor perks you'll hit 85% magic resistance, 80% damage resistance, 80% magic absorption. free destruction spells, nearly free restoration spells and essentially immune to all spells, breath, diseases and very resilient vs physical attacks.

To cast dead thrall, youll want a ring or necklace with fority conjuration and magicka+.
