After the Thieves Guild Quest Line *Spoilers* : V

I apologize if this has been asked but I haven't been able to find much about this.

As you are finishing the TG/Nightingale quest line, Nocturnal mentions that Twilight Sepulcher may encounter attacks in the future or something to that effect. I believe there is even a dialogue option to ask about these attacks and how to defend them. I think she even mentions that a portal from Nightingale Sanctuary will open to make it an easier trip back to help defend the Sepulcher. My question is, has anyone been called back? I actually recently checked Nightingale Sanctuary and I don't see a portal. Is this a bug? Was I reading too much into it? I think it'd be pretty cool to switch roles and be the monster in the dungeon instead of always being the dungeon crawler, so this idea definitely appealed to me.

I looked for that portal, as well as Karliah in the sanctuary but no luck.

I think the portal they are talking about might be the one in Twilight Sepulcher, that allows you to teleport straight to Nocturnal, by passing rest of the dungeon.

Thank you. I am correct in that it does sound as if there's some sort of radiant quest type thing being set up during that conversation, right? Going to see if I still have the save. Maybe it was all a really cool dream I had:)

I remember seeing her again once I had completed 'Restoring the Thieves Guild' at the ceremony. I haven't seen her in the Flagon since but I haven't looked too thoroughly either. She didn't show up at the Sanctuary between the Nocturnal encounter and Master of the Thieves Guild ceremony for me either though.

I just finished this quest line today (by far my favorite guild quest line I've completed so far). I don't think we can anticipate having to return to the Twilight Sepulcher unless there will be a DLC for it later. I'm pretty sure Nocturnal was just reminding us that we are her agents and we are still contracted to her, so if another betrayer like Mercer Fray comes along, we will need to return to defend her temple.

I have not returned to the Twilight Sepulcher (seeing as how I only completed the quest line today), but I'm pretty sure when I left the portal was working. It won't take you back to the dungeon from what I understand, it'll only return you to the area where you can change your Nightingdale power.
