Yeah, but who knows what it does to your savegame?

I try and avoid any and all things that can corrupt my save.

Also, this happened to me without me realising I had already done the quest.
Took me forever to figure out what it was for or why I couldnt drop it.

Now whenever I kill that guy, that sword stays in his inventory.

Have to LMAO at IGN, they put a video up on Xbox Live showing how to do this quest saying "its best for noobies" because of the blades damage output early on. They complete fail to mention its bugged and repeatable multiple times.

4th time for me. The other 2 weren't intentional, I was trying to get a book next to them and it read them. So I have 4 versions, faaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic.

So, this is a glitch? I'm playing on PS3, and my main character has done this quest about 4 times, and came across another "Red Eagle" book a couple of days ago in a dungeon. Left that book upopened.

1) Leave the sword in the 'receptacle'.
2) Drop the book(s).
3) Never pick up The Legend of Red Eagle again.

I got looped into it and still have one of the swords in one of my containers in one of my houses. I'm afraid to touch it so it stays there even though I came across it trying to organize my containers. :lol:

I've read the books numerous times on various toons after doing the quest. Never looped for me.... I read it, I tab out of it, it sits in inventory, I sell it. *shrug*
