My map indicates an entrance to Midden right outside the main entrance to the College at Winterhold but for the life of me I can't find it! Trying to get in to forge a Storm Atronach spell. Any help would be appreciated.

As soon as you exit into the courtyard with the statues rear end lookin at you turn right, cross the snowwy (im assuming lawn) to get to the other side. The door to the midden is a trap door on the floor. (its on the walkway, not the snowwy area) theres also a trap door entrace in the hall of attainment. (the hall where you sleep) that entrance is directly to the right otf the first floor staircase. Theres also another entrance from the roof i believe.

There's a place in the game named after a medieval toilet?

Yeah, it's where they dump the detention center escapees.
