That brings up an excellent point....the Bosmer racial ability should be PASSIVE.

huh.....at level 5 it started? have you gotten the shout that calms animals? definitely sounds like a glitch of some sort. what happens if you attack a bear or something? does it fight back?

I don't have that shout. Haven't tried attacking any animals yet. (it's not nice) heh. But maybe I should. Animals i caves and ruins attack me though. bug on the main map? But why not the first time I played? Grrr.

Did you get that blessing (reading each of the 10 tablets) on your way to visit the Greybeards? That makes animals neither attack nor flee from you for a certain amount of time.

Test this by starting a new character and see what happens. You don't have to keep the character, just make a new one for testing.

Ah! Suddenly the animals are back to their homicidal self. What a relief. Don't know why though...
